Counselling sessions are available virtually only at this time. We have opened up “walk & talk” sessions for those interested in meeting in person. The majority of these outdoor sessions are held in wide open public spaces (ie Nose Hill, Griffin Woods, Weasel Head) honoring discretion, privacy and confidentiality.

Counselling sessions are conduct through Owl Practice, Canada's leading solution for Counselling & Therapy Management and is 100% PHIPA Compliant.

PHIPA governs the manner in which personal health information may be collected, used and disclosed within the health sector. It regulates health information custodians (custodians), as well as individuals and organizations that receive personal health information from custodians.

Owl Video Therapy is run exclusively through Owl’s servers, located at their Toronto data centers. All Video Therapy sessions are fully encrypted to ensure a secure communication between you and your client

Virtual group sessions are conducted through zoom and are secured by protective password.

Individual, couples, family counselling sessions are $150 + gst for a 50 min session.

Group programs vary depending on the length and duration of program. Please refer to the Course & Program link for the particular course.

We are not able to provide discounts on counselling session fees.

However our group programs sometime go on discount and occasionally limited discounted spaces are available for those requesting financial assistance. Discounts will be highlighted accordingly under the course description if this is the case.

In addition we offer a monthly half day retreat, typically on the second Sunday of the month, which is open to all and is free. There is an invitation to support our teaches by donation (also know as offering Dana). You can read more about these offerings under our course descriptions.

We accept payment by credit card (Visa, Master Card, AmEx) or by electronic email transfer to pam@prhcounsellingservices.com prior to commencement of session.

We are unable to accept Cash or Cheque at this time. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Counsellor.

We are unable to offer payment plan programs for future payment of services. If you are under financial constraints and require counselling services, we recommend you connect with agencies such as Calgary Counselling Services who offer a sliding scale fee or the Distress Centre at 403-266-HELP (4357)

As a Canadian Certified Counsellor most employee benefit plans cover the cost of counselling services. Please check directly with your insurance provider to see if they cover the cost of therapy provided by a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC).

Coverage is not automatic and it is the client’s responsibility to contact their insurance company to determine if counselling services are included in their plan and to verify the service providers approved under the plan.

We provide receipts after programs and sessions, outlining the service provided, dates and hours in therapy, including CCC registration number, for you to provide to your insurance company for reimbursement consideration.

At this time we are unable to provide direct billing services to insurance companies.

The Canadian Certified Counsellor certification is a national service that identifies to the public those counsellors who CCPA (Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association) recognizes as qualified to provide counselling services in Canada.

Obtaining the status of Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) includes recognition of standards of professional preparation, continuing education, and a formal code of ethics. As a non-statutory self-regulating body, CCPA provides advice and discipline for members on matters of professional conduct.

Only counsellors who are certified by CCPA are permitted to use the trademarked title Canadian Certified Counsellor and/or the acronym ‘CCC’.
